What We Fund.
CEF is investing in Carbondale’s tomorrow by providing needs-assessed and impact-based support to our public education system today.

Our focus is on funding initiatives that can have the greatest impact for students, teachers and administrators at Crystal River Elementary School, Carbondale Middle School, Roaring Fork High School, Carbondale Community School, Ross Montessori School and Bridges High School.

For the 2025-2026 school year we have committed…
-
$32,500 in funding for school supplies for Carbondale’s most vulnerable students
-
$30,000 to experiential learning opportunities for students in all schools
-
A minimum of $30,000 for teacher grants for supplies and equipment in all schools

In our first year of operation we fundraised and donated…
-
$40,000 for the design and permit process for a school based health center
-
$20,000 to help save music programming in our schools
-
More than $25,000 in direct teacher grants for supplies and equipment to enhance learning across all public schools
Programming Enrichment
We want our teachers and administrators to "think big" when it comes to enriching our children's education. As such, we fund grants that allow our educators to provide enhanced educational programming that otherwise wouldn't be possible due to lack of funds.

School-Based Health Center
Physical and mental well-being are prerequisites for learning. Thanks to your support, CEF has raised $40,000 to help construct a new health center at Roaring Fork High School. Operated by Mountain Family Health, it will ensure any child or adolescent has year-round access to medical, dental and mental health services during and after school hours.
