A night off for Carbondale's Teachers

Sometimes a simple thank-you goes a long way.
Last month, something pretty great happened in Carbondale.
On February 6, teachers and school staff from across town gathered at the RVR Barn for a simple night off. No agendas. No presentations. Just good food, drinks, and a whole lot of laughter.
CEF hosts an annual Teacher Appreciation Night because the people who show up for our students every day deserve a moment where the community shows up for them.
Teachers played round after round of Yahtzee. Some games were casual. Some were… not so casual ????
We watched as teachers lapped back through the line, snagging gift card winnings for everything from local pizza slices to spa facials and comped nights in backcountry huts. Honestly, it was one of those evenings where everyone just leans in for a second. Teachers rarely get nights like this, and it’s oh-so-nice when they do.
Moments like that are why we do this.
CEF helped cover costs for the event, but a huge thank you goes out to the 40+ businesses that donated gift cards, prizes and more to help celebrate our teachers. It truly felt like a community effort; the kind of night where you look around the room and see how much Carbondale cares about its schools.
Events like Teacher Appreciation Night are one small way we support the educators who shape our community every day.
And honestly, it was just plain fun!
