So...what exactly does CEF do?

If you’ve lived in Carbondale for a while, you’ve probably heard the name Carbondale Education Foundation floating around town.
Maybe you saw us at Oktoberfest (Because yes, we brought it back!).
Maybe someone mentioned a teacher grant.
Maybe you’ve wondered… what are they actually doing?!
Fair question.
The short answer: we help fund the ideas, tools, and experiences that make learning stronger in our local schools.
CEF supports students, teachers, and administrators at:
Crystal River Elementary School
Carbondale Middle School
Roaring Fork High School
Carbondale Community School
Ross Montessori School
Bridges High School
Six schools. One community.
Sometimes our support looks simple. A teacher needs classroom materials that aren’t in the budget. We help make it happen.
Sometimes it’s bigger. A field trip. A hands-on project that helps students connect what they’re learning in class to the real world.
And sometimes it’s about making sure students start the year with the supplies they need to learn in the first place.
The goal isn’t complicated.
Support teachers.
Expand opportunities for students.
Strengthen our schools.
That’s the work we’re building together here in Carbondale.
And over the next few months, we’ll share more stories about the projects and people that make it possible.
